Not to be all political or anything ...

But isn't it a little late for this?

So you're saying Grandpa Joe just now figured this out? I've stopped admitting that we went to the same high school.

Yup. At the risk of being disloyal to the hometown, gotta say I wouldn't have voted for him this time if I were still a Stamfordite.

If he's not an outright appeaser at this point, he's at least an enabler.

Somewhat unrelatedly, we finally watched "Good Night and Good Luck" last night. Which is only relevant to this thread in a No-actually-you-have-to-not-appease/enable-people-who-are-really-really-wrong sort of way. I thought of you as they debated objectivity.

Are kidding me Anna? The Yanks sweep the Bosox five out of five and you write not a peep about it on this board? Aren't you excited? Doesn't Griffin realize the significance? Have you not corresponded in Morse Code taps with the newbie in your tummy about this? You may think politics and the fate of our nation/world is more important than the BEST REGULAR-SEASON SWEEP IN DECADES, but think again -- the Yankees rock!

But for some serious baseball I'd recommend the Mets/Cards series. Tonight's 8-7 was beautiful.

We've been at beach. I'll have you know that the fetus watched two of the games and monitored the rest via internet. (ESPN.com Gamecast is the best invention since cable TV.)

Yes, the ESPN Gamecast is incredible, and they keep making improvements. They've even added to the suspense factor with the little ball that moves across the screen, taking height into account.

Oh yeah, Anna's brother: Is the essence of your stage name Cynical I? Cynic Ali? Or, um, Cy Nicali (isn't there a pitching award named after him)?
