Life with child
This past weekend, I spent a good chunk of time hanging out at the local urgent care center with TheBoy, waiting for a doctor to confirm that he indeed had something suspiciously like strep throat. After two days of heavy drugs -- Tylenol, baby ibuprofen and regular doses of antibiotics -- he's fine. Judybat, however, is sneezing constantly. (With my bionic ears in, it sounds like Mount Hood is erupting each time she goes off.) My throat is a lovely shade of maroon, and feels it.
None of that mattered to TheBoy when he pounded into our room at 6, ready to begin the day.
Sigh.

Ugh! I'm so sorry you're illin'. Maybe you're listening to too much Britney?
Maroon is not a good color for a throat. Perhaps you should cycle by the urgent care center on your way home to get some antibiotics.
Some would argue that there's no such thing as too much Britney. I would not be one of those.
And . . . Mom? Is that you again? Remind me to teach you how to sign-in the next time we talk.
But these new-fangled elecrowhatzits are so confusing!
Anonymous #1 was me. Anonymous #2 was not. There is an impersonator among us.
Strep. Ugh.
Strep and not enough sleep. Ugh!
Strep is bad. Plus, Oregonians are getting RAIN,RAIN and more RAIN. Not good.
Time for chicken soup. Then try hot and sour soup. Spicy things are good things.
